I have discovered that I am an intensely political animal. On the one hand art speaks for itself, on the other it requires back up, not as a means  to explain the piece or to be one's own critic but to be candid about the motivation behind it all, to say why as well as what and how.

We are teetering on the brink. If we are to pull back there must be an evolutionary leap of consciousness in the collective psyche. Whatever this ultimatly constitutes, it will have to entail the embodied acknowledgement of equality between faiths.

The purpose of this short essay is to think afresh about Christendom’s long standing conflict with Islam and it’s current manifestation in the Iraq war. I intend to give our Western ideals a rocky ride in the process, but before I do that I want to tell you a personal story to place all this in context. Please click on the text link below:
